What is Pegasus Spyware ?

Nowadays a new type of spyware is very popular which is 'Pegasus' . So let's talk about what it is. So Pegasus is a Spyware (a software that is used for collecting personal information from another computer without their permission) which is made by "NSO Group" which is a Israel based company. It was made in 2016. It is made for helping the government, police and secret agencies to keep an eye on terrestrial and other criminal activities.



So the next question that comes to our mind is whether it is harmful for Normal citizens. So the answer is no it is not harmful for normal people but there are some chances that it can attack your devices. It can attack the device's famous personalities. Like politicians, journalists and celebrities. 


How it enters our phones ?


It can enter your device by APKs and other things that you download from unknown sources. It also enters by emails or by loopholes that are not patched. It can attack in all android version whether you are using android 10 or 11. It can also attack on iOS devices till iOS 14.6 .It is very hard to find if it  enters your devices.


Precautions:-

If it enters your device there is no way to get rid of this spyware until you format or replace your device. We also can't stop it from entering or attacking our device. But there are some security tips that you can follow to stay safe from this spyware.

Don't download APKs. Use only Google Play Store to download applications.

Use VPN if the internet connection that you are using is not safe.

Keep your devices Up-To-Date.

Also keep your applications  Up-To-Date.

You can send disappearing messages to secure your privacy.

Don't download pirated software.
